HRO'S PROTECTION

Our Vision for the Future

As HRO continues to grow, our goal is to expand our humanitarian efforts and strengthen communities across Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan, and beyond. We are committed to scaling our programs and adapting our strategies to address emerging challenges, including climate change, conflict, and poverty. Our projections outline the key areas we aim to develop in the coming years.

Our Key Climate Change Initiatives:

1. Program Expansion Goals

1. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Our goal is to provide clean water access to an additional 500,000 people by rehabilitating wells, expanding rainwater harvesting systems, and improving sanitation infrastructure in underserved regions.

2. Climate Resilience Initiatives
HRO aims to plant 1 million trees in the next five years as part of our reforestation program, alongside expanding our disaster risk reduction efforts to protect communities from climate-related hazards like floods and droughts.

3. Food Security and Livelihood
We project supporting 1 million individuals through sustainable farming programs, providing training, seeds, and resources to boost agricultural productivity and mitigate the effects of climate change on food security.

4. Protection Services
HRO plans to expand its gender-based violence (GBV) support services by establishing more safe spaces for survivors, doubling the number of beneficiaries by 2026. Additionally, we aim to scale up mine risk education programs to reach 100,000 individuals in conflict zones.

2. Strengthening Partnerships

To achieve our ambitious goals, HRO is working to form new partnerships with international organizations, governments, and private sector players. These collaborations will provide the necessary funding, resources, and expertise to reach more people and expand our impact.

3. Community Empowerment

At the heart of our projections is a continued focus on empowering local communities. By investing in training, capacity-building, and leadership development, we aim to ensure that communities can take ownership of their futures and sustain the programs we implement.

4. Measuring Impact

To track our progress, HRO will establish robust monitoring and evaluation systems. We will regularly assess the effectiveness of our programs, make data-driven adjustments, and publish reports that highlight our achievements and challenges. Our goal is to be transparent and accountable in our growth.
